A mom, educator and Principal at LNES (Go Dolphins!) are three titles I proudly represent. Growing up I always knew educating our youth would be a part of my future but I never knew it would take me to where I am today.

After numerous years of classical piano training I decided to pursue a degree in piano performance not realizing I would grow a fear of stage fright resulting in finding my passion for education. Under the direction of excellent professors I graduated with honors from Salem College with a Bachelor in Music Education. Shortly after graduation I accepted my first teaching job as a chorus teacher with Iredell-Statesville Schools at East Iredell Middle School and Statesville Middle School.

A few years in to teaching I recognized how passionate I was about the school as a whole, not just my individual classroom. I knew something was missing and wanted to be more involved. With the encouragement of my principal I obtained a Masters in School Administration (with a principals license) from Gardner-Webb University.

Along the way I have been supported by a wonderful husband (Brandon) and two beautiful daughters (Ava Grace and Autumn Nichole).

Outside of school one can find me chasing two girls, practicing the piano, accompanying my church's choir, attempting to read, visiting with friends and family, enjoying outside activities, and trying to be as active as possible in the community. No matter where, what time, when or how you see me I am truly happy with life!
