Art Club

Lead by Mrs. Sechler.
This club meets every other week after school. There are separate meeting dates for 3rd/4th and 5th grade. 

Battle of the Books

Lead by Ms. Brown, Mrs. Boone and Ms. Morris
Tryouts for any interested 4th and 5th grader are held in September. Parents are notified of tryouts via email.
The 10 member team meets on Thursdays from 2:30-3:30. 
The Battle of the Books team will have a competition in the Spring, winners advance to Regionals and then the State competition. 
Battle of the Books supports literacy, reading and comprehension components of the elementary curriculum.
 

Beta Club

Lead by Mrs. Dunker
Interested 5th graders must apply for admission into the club.

Chess Club

Lead by Mrs. Gaylor.
3rd, 4th and 5th graders are encouraged to join. 
Chess Club meets on Wednesdays after school.
Chess Club is part of the Academically and Intellectually Gifted (AIG) Curriculum
 

Chorus 

Lead by Mr. Xiong
Practice will be held during the week after school.
The Chorus will perform in concerts twice a year at the Fine Arts Showcase.
 
 

Girls on the Run

Lead by Mrs. Jeter, Ms. Brown, and Mrs. Fox.
Our Girls on the Run chapter is a part of a national organization. The club is open to 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade girls who apply on the Girls on the Run website.
This club has two seasons each year, in the fall and spring. The girls complete training and lessons twice a week that work toward a 5K at the end of the season.
 

Math Expo

Run Fit Club

Lead by Mr. Greene. 
Interested 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students can sign up with Mr. Greene.
Run Fit Club is every Monday until 3:30.

Science Fair

Lead by Mrs. Cagle
To participate, students will complete a science fair experiment and create a science fair board at home. Then, students will bring their project to school and have the opportunity to talk to our judges.  The top 3 winners in the 3rd-5th grade division will move on to the I-SS District Science Fair. 
 

Soccer Club

Lead by Profe Marlon
Meets weekly after school on Wednesdays.

Spanish Club 

Lead by Sra. Parker
Spanish club is held weekly after school.

Spelling Bee

Lead by Mrs. Ledford and Ms. Wilson
Open to 3rd, 4th and 5th graders.
Spelling Bee word list will be release in November. Classroom teachers will hold a classroom bee and with 1st and 2nd place students advancing to our school Spelling Bee in January. Winner and Runner-Up will advance to District Bee.

Spelling Bee supports the elementary English Language Arts curriculum.

Ukulele Club

Lead by Mr. Xiong.
Club meets after school weekly. They will give two performances each year at the Fine Arts Showcase.
